Electrical Engineering Design Lab

The Electrical Engineering Design Lab is a user facility open to any person affiliated with OSU. The Design Lab is housed in two rooms on the foruth floor of Engineering South.

	Room 401 is the "Design Commons" and is open to all qualified users. Facilities in this room are used as they are needed and belong equally to all qualified users.
	Room 411 has workbenches and storage cabinets that design teams can check out for long term projects.

The Design Lab is open to all qualified users who agree to follow the policies of the facility. The link bars at the top of this page provide additional information about this unique facility.

The Design Lab supports both of the capstone design courses in ECE. The first capstone course, ECEN4013, prepares students for engineering design by providing design skills and practice using those skills in design projects. In the second course, ECEN4023, students are part of a team of engineers solving a design problem under practical constraints. The emphasis in both capstone design courses is to help develop students' ability to perform design by providing structured practice in problem solving.
